Digital Radiography

Sartin Animal Care Clinic is committed to using cutting edge technology when it comes to the health of your pet. One way that we are able to stand above other animal clinics is our use of Digital Radiography. Radiography is more commonly known as x-ray technology. X-ray has been in use for over 100 years in human medicine and over the past 40 years has become very useful in animal medicine. Our pets are unable to tell us where they hurt or why they hurt, therefore more advanced techniques are needed. Digital x-ray means that with minimal radiation exposure, our staff can have the images of your pet’s internal organs and skeletal system on the computer in minutes. Dr. Sartin is then able to manipulate the image such as zoom in on a small area or lighten/darken the exposure to see a fracture or tumor clearly. If it is felt a specialist is needed to consult, the images can easily be emailed and answers are quick!
